Gratefully, I'm surrounded by liberals. I sometimes wonder what sort of bullshit conservatives tell themselves and each other to make themselves feel all warm and fuzzy about their own hatred for others and now I know.

The lame "We vote for black people we like so you can't say we're racist" is right up there with "Some of my best friends are black".

"Stacy Abrams endorsed voter registration laws...." Nobody but nobody is arguing against requiring voters to be registered.

"as the election in 2012 showed voter laws do not stop African Americans from voting."

That's why racist GOP legislators are changing them again. This time they aren't wasting time with voters. They're going right to the meat of the matter, passing laws that allow them to overturn results they don't like.

And while you're here, maybe you can explain to us why Alabama reduces polling places in black counties.

"some African American leaders are fighting hard to reestablish "race" as a criterion for who one votes for, who one lives with, who gets hired, etc."

So....explain to us why so many black leaders supported and black voters cast their ballot for Joe Biden.

After that....name one African American leader who is trying to re-establish race as a criterion for who one votes for.

After that....tell us with a straight face that you know of no white leaders who wish to establish race as a criterion for who one votes for.
