HR1 may or may not be a good bill on its merits. (I think it is...the old trope about "but it's so many pages!" is irrelevant....ALL bills are "so many pages"}

But Manchin didn't argue those merits in his editorial. He simply said that he's voting against it because no GOP Senators are voting for it. That's it.

And that's why we're upset. Argue for the bill or against the bill...but to say that you're voting against it simply because the other side is too....that's abrogation of one's responsibilities.
