Interesting stuff. But I'm not clear as to just how TDG is that different from what we have now. Your own example provides the story of a ward representative. A ward is pretty darned local, wouldn't you say? In my case, it's pretty much equivalent to my neighborhood. Why am I any less likely tp put sensible representatives who display good character and capacity for governance under the present system than under TDG?

Not rebutting your stance but I can't see much difference between your proposal and what we have now.
